Welcome to Beauty From Ash Soap! 

Hi - I'm Ashley Howe - the "Ash" behind the name. I'm a lifelong Vermonter, avid outdoor enthusiast, musician, boy mom, gardener, baker, and entrepreneur. I am passionate about soap making using simple, natural ingredients that offer healthy benefits for your skin. From the first natural soap gifted to me over 10 years ago, I knew that natural soap was highly superior to the commercial soaps I'd been using. That led me on a soap and skincare making journey that has spanned 9 years. 

Beauty From Ash is a new beginning for me - which is what inspired the name. The name encompasses 3 points: 

1. Soap Making History - Long before the Industrial Revolution, soap was made using ash from the fire mixed with fats to produce soap. These two simple elements were combined to form a useful product everyone needed. 
2. Ash - it's me! Beauty From Ash is a play on my name :) I love making soap, both simple and pretty designs, but mostly soap that will be used and not just sit on a shelf as decoration. Experimenting with plants to highlight their beauty and benefits to the skin in soap making never gets old. 
3. Isaiah 61:3 - God creates beauty out of ashes. He is the healer of broken things and broken people. I'm one of those people who knows this verse intimately. My story is still being written and the Author of all is making it beautiful in His time. 

The soap I create is made using high quality all natural ingredients. No artificial fragrances. No parabens. No chemicals. No synthetics. No preservatives. Just simple, wholesome ingredients made from plants found in nature, locally whenever possible,  because it matters just as much what you put on your body as it does what you put inside it.
